Northumberland Energy Park (NEP) is the premier offshore energy base, located near the Port of Blyth. The site is part of Energy Central, the UK’s unique port-based service, investment and growth cluster for companies operating in the offshore energy and subsea markets. NEP has four phases.

Location
Northumberland Energy Park is a well-connected strategic location, just north of Blyth. The site has direct access to deep water quayside areas for import and export of components and finished goods at Port of Blyth. Port of Tyne is also located 15 miles away.
There is road access to the A189 which provides a direct link to the A1M and A19 major road networks, with the capability of delivering distribution and logistics hub activity.
Battleship Warf provides access to rail links for freight and logistics activities and Newcastle Airport is a 20 minute drive.
Well-connected via sea, road, rail and air, Northumberland Energy Park is a fantastic strategic location for offshore and renewable energy industry. The site is capable of delivering 100MVA of power and has direct quay access with deep-water and jack-up barge capability.
About the Site
Northumberland Energy Park Phase 1
Northumberland Energy Park Phase 1 consists of the strategic riverside site with associated dock. The area is the subject of the current £35m public investment enabling works covering the former Stations A and B Blyth Power Station and the Ash Barge Dock. These enabling works will provide an extended and deep-water berth at the Ash Dock.
The site offers a current power capacity of 20 MVA with the potential of up to 100 MVA from renewable sources. It also provides 2 adjacent National Grid substations which provide access to the National Grid.
Northumberland Energy Park Phase 2
Northumberland Energy Park 2 is located beside the North Sea Link which is the world’s longest subsea connector allowing the export of power generated via wind power and the importing of green electricity from Norway generated by hydro-electric power stations. The 14.5 hectare site utilises a service corridor which provides quay access with deep-water (9.0 LAT) and jack up barge capability. Plus, access to four additional deep-water berths at Battleship Wharf.
Northumberland Energy Park Phase 3
Northumberland Energy Park phase 3 is set to be the site of a 'Hyperscale Datacentre Campus' providing hundreds of long term jobs.
Northumberland Energy Park Phase 4
Northumberland Energy Park 4 offers 36HA of development land. The site boasts a readymade skills base with a population of 930,961 within a 30 minute drive time with approximately 1.6m within a catchment area of around 45 minutes.
